Waiting in the pre-dawn hours at Colton Point while anticipating a new day is a quiet time full of promise. A whisper of a breeze stirs as the sun comes into view over the opposite side of the canyon and a new day begins.
Bernadette Chiaramonte is a ten-time winner of the Citizens & Northern Bank calendar contest and a retired Registered Nurse from Soldiers + Sailors Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department. As a two-time "PA Wilds" contest winner, and a member of Professional Photographers of America, Chiaramonte’s photographs are published in many Pennsylvania tourism and travel brochures. "Photography transcends time. It takes you to places you have never been. It makes you stop and be in that one moment. When I am photographing a landscape, wildlife, or the stars in the sky my worries in life just fade away. It is a very real experience for me. I just love the photographic medium for expressing what I love about life on Earth, a planet we take too much for granted." https://www.facebook.com/pinecreekartist
Submit your photo of an iconic image of Wellsboro or the surrounding beauty of the greater Tioga Potter County area, and your image could be a puzzle too!
Proceeds from the sale of our local puzzles are used to encourage creative thinking and the arts in our community. From promoting our photographers and local artists through our membership in the "PA Route 6 Artisan Trail," to hosting community art projects at the annual art show, encouraging creative thinking through free events in Pop's Playroom, and donating to local arts programs, Pop's Culture Shoppe is proud to make this part of our mission. We thank the artists and photographers who generously share their talents to help us in this endeavor.
